Blackened Atlantic Salmon Planks
Remove from packaging. Place in shallow pan or tray. Cover with plastic wrap and thaw in refrigerator (at or below 38°F) for 6-8 hours or overnight.
Remove all packaging. Place product in a sealed bag. Place sealed bag in a bowl of cold water for approximately 30 minutes. Drain and cook as desired.
From Frozen - Preheat oven to 375°F. Remove all packaging and place plank with fish on baking tray with aluminum foil in oven. Bake for 18-22 minutes, until an internal temperature of 145°F is achieved.
From Thawed – Preheat grill to medium heat. Remove from all packaging, but leave on cedar plank. Place salmon and cedar plank directly on grill grates and grill for 30-35 minutes, until an internal temperature of 165˚F is achieved. Grills vary, so additional time may be needed. Keep a spray bottle of water available for any flare ups.
