Sea Scallops have a mild flavor and a delicate and flaky texture. These “dry” scallops are all natural and additive free making them perfect for searing, but are equally delectable when baked, broiled, fried or grilled. They’re mild yet meaty consistency can be enjoyed practically raw, cooked through, and every way in between.
Sea Scallops are easy to prepare and decadent as a mid-week dinner you can have, perfectly plated, in a matter of minutes. Try them ceviche-style, sliced thin and scattered on a plate with thinly sliced onions, cilantro and a generous squeeze of fresh lime juice.
It’s important to open and inspect your shipment as soon as you can after it arrives on your doorstep.
While there are a number of safe ways to thaw shellfish, by far, the best approach to preserve its flavor and consistency is to thaw it in the refrigerator.
Remove the scallops from the original packaging and place them on a plate or shallow pan to catch any liquid. Thaw it in the refrigerator for 18-24 hours before you plan to cook it, preferably overnight.

ScallopsI have ordered the bacon wrapped scallops, the fresh and frozen sea scallops and have not been disappointed. All were wonderful.
Off the chart delicious scallops!I am a scallops fan but in central Wisconsin, it is hit or miss with the grocery stores. Most of the quality restaurants do an excellent job when I do order them dining out.
I made the Easy Scallops recipe on the City Pier Seafood website to test them and it was off the chart delicious!
My husband normally does not love scallops no matter who makes them but he loved these and is ready for me to make them again. Our cast-iron pan seared them to perfection in less than 10 minutes. The order arrived (with other products too) at 5:19pm central and by 6:40pm despite needing to cold water thaw them, we were dining on the delicious sweet scallops. I will order again!
