Yellowfin/Ahi tuna is an affordable indulgence, best when prepared simply. Its mild yet meaty consistency can be enjoyed raw, cooked through, and everything in between. Its silky, mild taste shines through when raw and cooked with only a slight sear.

Flash-frozen at sea and at the peak of freshness, frozen yellowfin tuna is always an excellent choice.
While there are a number of safe ways to thaw frozen fish, by far, the best approach to preserve its flavor and consistency is to thaw it in the refrigerator. Simply remove the tuna from its original packaging and place it on a plate or shallow pan to catch any liquid. Thaw it in the refrigerator for 18-24 hours (preferably overnight) before you plan to cook it.
